The best of Venice can be found outside, in the grey. Simply look around when you’re on your way discovering the city. There are bas-reliefs, statues, sculptures and plaques all around. Take a good look at the buildings, walls and bridges and you know I am right.
Sometimes you can find an engravement, sometimes you will see an image or statue. Of course all of them have their own history. However, for the ordinary tourist is can be hard to find the origin or meaning of the story.
