Normally this drawing lies in the dark, not to be viewed by anyone and certainly not by you, simple tourist. It is well preserved in the Cabinet of Sketches in the Gallerie dell’Accademia: the Gabinetto dei Disegni.

So, if you want to see the most famous drawing of the world by the hand of Leonardo da Vinci himself, now is the time to do it: until 1 December you can view his unique drawings, amongst them the Vetruvian Man for real. How special is that: the last time the sketch was shown, was during an exposition in 1980. Do you admire the genius Da Vinci, don’t wait. This is a change you might not get the next thirty years. In December the sketches will be put away to preserve the vulnerable paper. The exhibition can be viewed at Gallerie dell’Accadmia. The entree is € 15,-. It is worth to consider to buy a museum card. For a bit more money you can also visit a lot of other interesting musea.
