In sestiere Cannaregio you can visit two interesting places that lie in eachother vicinity: een bas-relief at the wall on a corner and the narrowest street of Venice, Calle Varisco.

The corner of Campiello del Pestrin (do not confuse with Calle del Pestrin) holds the bas-relief of Pietà, so famous from the painting of Bellini (1505). The relief, which is noticeably often being touched, however is in mirror view of the painting. At the small square you can eat a lovely Italian diner in a authentic Italian restaurant with view on a vera di pozzo (Venetian well).

The narrowest street is only 53 cm wide. Read The Venetian Rover about this particular street.
