Sunday 9th September Elena Krasantowitch, a cello musician from Estonia, played the piece Adagio of Albinoni*, a Venetian composer. There she was, sitting at the square simply playing the most wonderful music you can imagine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Together with two of my friends we sat at a terrace next to the Frari church, drinking Venetian Spritz when she started to play. Her name carries ‘witch’ in it and she really mesmerised us with her charming play. Passing pedestrians could not help stopping to listen to her beautiful music. En masse they listened, standing, sitting at the stairs of the bridge (which is actually not done in Venice). This was one of those special moments at the Campo dei Frari. It is engraved our memory.<\/p>\n

*Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni \u00bb<\/a>, autodidact, was born in Venice in 1671 (1671-1751). Hij was baroc composer and violinist. He is known for his piece Adagio.<\/p>\n
